Susan Pape riding Riverside (Imp)Riverside (Imp) (Regazzoni/Donnerhall/Pik König), along with his sire Regazzoni (Rubinstein/Werther/Dagobert), his dam St. Pr. St. Desiree (Donnerhall/Pik König/Frusta II) and his grand dam Pirola (Pik König/Frustra II/Domspatz)) was born in Hemmoor, Germany at Hengststation Pape. Riverside is closely related to the licensed Oldenburg stallion Rendezvous (Regazzoni/Donnerhall/Pik König) whose dam is out of Paola (a full sister to Pirola).

Riverside was awarded premium at his Hanoverian stallion licensing in October, 2002 (4/?). Riverside completed his 70 Day Test in Münster-Handorf in August, 2003, placing first overall with 133.8 points (1/21). His dressage index was 138.53 points (1/21) and his jumping index was 101.4 (9/21).

Riverside was a finalist of the World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden, 2006. He scored 9.0, the most highly qualified six year old horse for the Federal Championships (Bundeschampionate) in Warendorf. Riverside has produced premium foals and top quality riding horses in Germany, such as his son Rodrigo (Riverside/Hohenstein/Davignon I) who sold at the Elite Auction in Verden for 200.000 € and is sure to produce more of the same quality horses here in Australia.

Sam Lyle jumping Riverside (Imp)Riverside was imported to Australia by Amanda and David Shoobridge of Revelwood Warmblood Stud. He was purchased by Amanda and David from Hengststation Pape in Hemmoor, Germany in July, 2008 and began his first breeding season in Australia during the 2008/2009 breeding season. Harris Park Répertoire is from Riverside's first Australian crop of foals.

Riverside is a licensed stallion with the Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA) and is a premium licensed stallion with the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia. Riverside is currently in training with Nina Boyd of Canberra Performance Horses (CPH) and will be campaigned in Australia in the near future.

Regazzoni

RegazzoniGrand Sire: Regazzoni (Rubinstein/Werther/Dagobert) was born in Hemmoor, Germany at Hengststation Pape in 1991. I am assuming Regazzoni completed his stallion licensing in 1993, but I cannot find the results as yet. In 1994, Regazzoni completed his 100 Day Test at Münster-Handorf, Germany with an overall score of 140.53 points (1/54). His dressage index was 152.16 points (1/54) with a jumping index of 108.55 points (16/54). This resulted in Regazzoni being the overall champion of his Stallion Performance Test with individual scores of 10 for rideability and disposition as well as a 9 for trot, 8.5 for walk and 8 for canter.

Regazzoni was the Vice Federal Champion at the Federal Championships (Bundeschampionate) in Warendorf, Germany in 1995 for four year old colts and in 1996, he won the finals of the German five year old dressage championships. Regazzoni was the sire of the approved stallion Rendezvous (Regazzoni/Donnerhall/Pik König) in 1997 followed by six sons who were approved in Verden and Oldenburg in 1998. This included the record priced stallion of the 1998 Verden stallion auction Riccione (Regazzoni/Arogno/Bolero) who sold for DM 350,000 to Rhineland, Germany.

Regazzoni's daughters have also been successful. Revue Girl (Regazzoni//) sold for DM 300,000 at the PSI auction in Mühlen, Germany, Ribera Grande (Regazzoni//) was the best Hanoverian mare at the 2000 Euro-Mare Championship in Brussels, Belgium and St. Pr. St. Ravenna M (Regazzoni/Bolero/Sudan xx) was awarded state premium and highly placed at the 2000 Federal Championships (Bundeschampionate) in Warendorf, Germany.

Regazzoni has an integrated dressage index by the German FEI of 133 points and his offspring have achieved over 100,000 € in European dressage competitions. Regazzoni has produced thirteen approved sons including:

  • Radisson (Regazzoni/Willem's As I/Hitchcock),
  • Ragtime (Regazzoni/Grande/Matrose),
  • Ransom PCH (Regazzoni/Pik Bube II/),
  • Realist (Regazzoni/Warkant/?),
  • Refosco (Regazzoni/Grande/Diskant),
  • Regardez (Regazzoni/Frühlingsball/Parvenu),
  • Rendezvous (Regazzoni/Donnerhall/Pik König),
  • Riccione (Regazzoni/Arogno/Bolero),

  • Ronaldo (Regazzoni/Tannenberg/Wendekreis),
  • Rossignol (Regazzoni/Argentan I/Adlerflugel), and
  • Royal Highness (Regazzoni/Dream of Glory/Weltmeyer).

One of his licensed sons, Royal Highness (Regazzoni/Dream of Glory/Weltmeyer) placed first in the 2005 qualification finals (1/43) of the Bundeschampionate, scoring 9.3 points. In the finals he went on to tie for fourth place with a score of 8.7 points. Regazzoni's stallion offspring have achieved high scores at their 100 day performance tests. For example, Ragtime (Regazzoni/Grande/Matrose) scoring 130.2 points overall (standing at China Blue Farm in California, America), ZB Ransom (Regazzoni/Pik Bube II/) scored 134.9 points overall, Regardez (Regazzoni/Frühlingsball/Parvenu) scoring 128.4 points in his dressage index (3/24) (standing at Equitop Farm in Alberta, Canada, exported from Germany to Canada in December, 2000) and Riverside (Regazzoni/Donnerhall/Pik König) with an overall score of 133.8 points (1/21).
